BS Sabotage

Black Sabbath, Sabotage

£60.00

Their sixth Top 10 UK album in a row, Sabotage further smoothed the edges from the group’s earlier doom rock sound and may have sowed the seeds of the original line-up’s unravelling. The album cover was conceptualised by drummer Bill Ward’s drum technician, Graham Wright, who suggested the inverted mirror that showed each band member’s reflection, even as they faced away from the glass. The band’s decidedly strange get-up has been explained as resulting from the belief that they were turning up to a practice shoot, and not the actual photo session. (Bill Ward is allegedly sporting his wife’s red tights.)
