The Rolling Stones, Undercover

The first Stones album in 14 years not to hit one of the two top spots in the UK charts, Undercover boasted a typically inventive cover: a sleazy pop art collage in garish 80’s colours, featuring a peep-show pin-up with the album’s title and assorted imagery placed on top in strategic positions. For the original vinyl pressing, these images were stickers which could be peeled off to reveal other modesty-covering imagery beneath.
